Role Overview We’re on the lookout for a proactive and organised Sales Coordinator to support our Sales Department with day-to-day operations — ensuring smooth coordination of raceday and business event bookings from enquiry through to execution. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with our ticketing, event operations, and hospitality teams to deliver exceptional experiences for our various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly to all phone and email enquiries relating to racedays, business events, and private functions. Manage the Sales Inbox with professional, timely communication. Accurately enter and manage bookings in Moshtix (ticketing) and Ungerboeck (event management systems). Liaise with the Ticketing team to manage ticketing requests and issue complimentary tickets. Maintain up-to-date booking sheets and reports to track event bookings. Prepare, finalise, and distribute Event Orders for all sales and hospitality functions. Assist with proposals, contracts, invoicing, and purchase orders. Actively contribute to the sales pipeline by following up leads and tracking activity in the CRM. Support the wider Sales team to ensure seamless communication across departments. Be available to work occasional after-hours events, including raceday Saturdays. Provide general assistance to the Sales Department as directed by management. Skills & Experience Qualifications You’re an enthusiastic team player who thrives in a customer-focused, event-driven environment. You have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. To be successful, you’ll bring: A relevant tertiary qualification in Events, Hospitality, Business, or related discipline (desirable). A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within events, functions, conferences, hospitality, or the sports industry. Strong interpersonal and sales skills, with a flair for client service. High competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and relevant event systems. Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability. Knowledge of the thoroughbred racing industry or events management is a plus.
