Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. Applications are invited for a suitably qualified, passionate, and highly competent Classroom Music Teacher for this part-time (0.85 FTE), leave replacement position for Semester 2, 2025. This position is based at our St Kilda Road campus. Ideally, we are looking for a flute specialist (preferred), or a woodwind specialist with experience teaching flute. The successful applicant will be a highly skilled, caring, and enthusiastic woodwind teacher with experience teaching general classroom music and woodwind instrumental music from Years 5-10. Key responsibilities and qualifications include: * Significant experience in teaching woodwind and instrumental music to students in Years 5-10. * Well-developed administrative and organisational skills. * Ability to work effectively in a diverse and vibrant team. * Proven ability to deliver effective music curriculum using 21st-century teaching pedagogies. * Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships within the school community. * Experience in directing an intermediate level vocal ensemble (preferred but not essential).
