Electrician — Larapinta, Brisbane

About the role We are seeking an Electrician to commence immediately in Larapinta; Monday to Friday This is a Full Time Permanent Position Weekly rotating shift: 5.00am–1.06pm and 11.54am–08.00pm. Must be available to cover both shifts. $52.16 per hour Plus 15% Loading for PM Shift. All non-standard hours will be paid as Overtime Uniforms & all tools supplied Ensure Sort Systems and related depot equipment is fully maintained and functioning at full capacity at all times. Execution of all planned maintenance activities including preventative, predictive, corrective and project engineering Rapid correction of faults should unforeseen breakdowns occur Assist in the design of innovative system and facility solutions to meet evolving operational and business needs Effective integration, upkeep and utilisation of the computerised maintenance management system (MEX) Effective maintenance of automated sortation systems and related freight handling equipment to ensure maximum throughput capacity is available Ensure rapid repair of critical system components Assist in the development of appropriate maintenance procedures and schedules Ensuring maintenance schedules are adhered to effectively Early identification of electrical or mechanical faults related to sortation systems Assist in the development of innovative system improvements Execute maintenance to the prevailing practices and procedures Support operational personnel in the correct usage of systems and equipment Ensure critical spare parts are maintained in a neat and orderly manner Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly and maintained in a safe working order What you’ll bring Trade Qualification as an ‘A’ Grade electrician (Qld Electrical fitter / mechanics license) Flexibility to work on mechanical equipment Ability to work autonomously – unsupervised Ability to work within a small work team Ability to work closely with operational personnel Proven experience in a similar electrical maintenance role General knowledge of high-speed carton and package handling conveyor systems Experience in working with 3 Phase Motors, variable speed drives, and pneumatics Experience in Profibus, Profinet, ASi and TCP/IP networks highly regarded PLC fault finding and wiring experience Proficient in reading industrial wiring diagrams Familiar with computerised maintenance management (MEX) software systems effectively Ability to participate in continuous improvement initiatives Project experience Driver’s licence LI-DNP LI-DNI About Team Global Express Team Global Express (TGE) is an Australian-owned transport and logistics business delivering to Australia and New Zealand.
