Queensland X-Ray is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our Marketing & Communications team for an 18-month full-time contract opportunity (part-time min 4 days per week considered for the right candidate) at our head office located in the heart of South Bank, Brisbane. About the Role Working closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager, Senior Marketing & Communications Coordinator and wider Marketing team, you’ll play a key role in developing corporate visual assets that enhance our brand identity and support marketing initiatives across digital and print platforms. We’re after someone who can: Maintain, refine, and ensure consistency with the Queensland X-Ray internal and external brand. Work closely with the marketing team to understand campaign objectives and translate them into effective visual communication. Carry out work throughout the design process including briefing, design, feedback process, approval and finished art. Ensure print and digital specifications are met, liaising with suppliers and printers where required for any speciality items. Actively contribute to team meetings regarding new projects, suggesting ideas and brainstorming for campaigns. Key Responsibilities Designing high-quality print and digital marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, booklets, posters, pull-up banners, invitations, social media graphics, website banners and advertisements. Designing graphics for various internal communications including posters, intranet graphics and EDM (mass email) templates. Designing graphics for various operational requirements of the business including forms, flowcharts, worksheets and various technical documents. Review and develop practice signage packages, in consultation with signage consultants, to ensure standardisation and clear wayfinding. Designing layouts, icons and infographics for various company reports and presentations. Magazine/multipage layout design. Graphic design for quarterly staff magazine Anatomical illustrations under direction from technical staff. Maintaining the Queensland X-Ray brand guidelines and graphic design resources as required. About You 5 years’ experience in an in-house Graphic Design role, or Graphic Design agency. Relevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or similar. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. Working knowledge in Microsoft programs: Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A proactive, collaborative approach to working with stakeholders and internal teams. Positive attitude and dedicated work ethic. Excellent project management skills in order to organise and prioritise multiple projects concurrently. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail. Experience with motion design or video editing tools (e.g., Premiere Pro or After Effects) is desirable but not essential.
