Sales Manager — New Auckland, Gladstone

The company Our client is a well-known and trusted national distributor of LV electrical consumables. You will be representing a genuine market leader that is highly regarded and widely used across ANZ and internationally. The position As the New Zealand Sales Manager, you will contribute to our clients’ sales objectives by supervising the sales team and building long term client relationships. Creativity and strong sales skills will be required to provide innovative ideas for business growth. Along with strong communication skills, effective team management, and a proactive sense of initiative. Duties include: Lead the Sales team to achieve sales targets, whilst developing effective sales strategies. Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts (Wholesalers, Contractors, EPCs & OEMs), including maintaining head office relationships at a commercial level. Research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities. Monitor and analyse the team’s performance metrics and suggest improvements, whilst also providing regular updates to management. To develop and execute with the team all new product launches through detailed customer level targeted promotions & sales activities. Provide coaching and organise training to ensure the sales team is proficient in product & application knowledge. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts. Liaise with Marketing and Category Managers to ensure brand consistency. Skills & experience required: Proven experience of leading a sales team is essential. Current industry relationships are essential – Electrical Wholesalers & Contractors. Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude and strong time management judgement to prioritise work and meet deadlines. A proven track record of achieving sales targets, plus the ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics. Experience using and maintaining CRM systems, such as Salesforce.
