The company: This major, national infrastructure business is currently delivering a significant national project across Australia. With a complex, multi-year delivery work program and a fantastic existing in-house legal team, this is a rare opportunity to develop your legal career working on high-calibre legal work for a landmark project. About the role: Working closely with experienced, ex top tier senior lawyers, this role will see you supporting large-scale construction and infrastructure project teams as well as associated general commercial and procurement matters. Day to day, you will: draft and negotiate construction contracts and project documentation; advise project teams on procurement processes and contract risk; be part of a small legal function that is a commercial interface with the business, providing pragmatic, commercially attuned legal advice to internal stakeholders. Skills/Experience: To be considered for this role you will ideally have: 2–7 years’ PAE with experience in construction or major projects law; experience gained in a well-regarded top tier or national law firm. In-house experience will be highly regarded (as will secondment experience); demonstrated exposure to infrastructure, projects and construction contracts; and a commercial mindset and ability to build strong relationships across a large organisation.
