A growing team of 7 Building Services engineers. The usual variety of projects from education to residential, industrial and hospitality. You'll have worked on similar before. Project are often smaller, and move quickly. Why this role? Become an integral part of a building services business in Victoria. Equity buy-in available. It's a lead role - you're the expert. Your peers will come to you for advice. Agency and autonomy to run your own projects your way. Lead full projects or lead the electrical work on other's projects, likely both. Car parking on-site. The group is led by an experienced Director who is highly people-focussed. It's a fun team with a bit of banter but low drama. Your day to day You know how a services team runs as you've done this before - no need for me to write it all down. If you come from a design background, that'll be handy so you can jump in and make changes to a design but essentially, you'll be solving problems on the go and describing to a junior engineer, what you need. You’ll engage with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders too - something you have also done before. You’ll need a few skills to start: Electrical Engineering degree with VIC registration Team player – someone who can work within a small and a large team, or, solo. Flexibility to appreciate the changes in scope of works. A broad interest in business. Commercial awareness. Time occasionally to take a client to an AFL game or the tennis. In summary This is a permanent position which would suit someone confident in their ability. You may have come from a much smaller firm and need to broaden your project portfolio with larger projects or you may have come from a large multi-disciplinary group and be seeking a greater ability to lead, to shine, to run your own race.
