We are currently seeking a qualified Engineering Technologist to optimise our operational systems, improve the performance of our cleaning equipment, enhance consumables management, and support the integration of safety and compliance technology within our business. Key Responsibilities Technology Research, Testing & Evaluation Research and identify new technologies that can enhance cleaning equipment performance, safety systems, and operational workflows. Attend industry expos and collaborate with suppliers to evaluate equipment for integration into SNL operations. Conduct trials and performance assessments on cleaning machinery and consumables to determine the most efficient configurations and ensure alignment with site needs. Test and modify existing technologies (e.g., dilution systems, component upgrades) to improve efficiency, reliability, and compliance with service standards. Systems Development & Integration Collaborate with suppliers and IT teams to co-develop digital platforms and portals for procurement, workforce planning, and chemical safety management. Maintain and enhance custom dashboards that track consumables usage, site budgets, and supply chain efficiency. Support the development of online induction and training portals to improve workforce onboarding and compliance awareness. Process Engineering & Efficiency Optimization Apply engineering principles to design and refine operational processes, reducing waste and increasing efficiency in stock management and client billing. Use tools such as Excel, Miro, and Microsoft Visio to document and visualize process improvements. Equipment Maintenance & Technical Innovation Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of cleaning and facility equipment. Modify equipment setups (e.g. dilution systems, brushes, and internal parts) to improve performance and safety. Perform inspections to determine faults, source replacement parts, and carry out repairs in-house when necessary. Implement improvements that enhance the operational and safety profile of existing machinery. Audit and Safety System Management Act as the key user of the SafetyCulture platform to conduct site audits, track performance metrics, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Develop and manage audit templates covering cleaning quality, equipment checks, and safety protocols. Analyze audit outcomes to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support site-level compliance. Client Reporting and Budget Control Maintain structured documentation and tracking systems for client-specific consumables, ensuring accurate billing and reducing unbilled items. Provide monthly reporting on supply use versus budget and adjust procurement strategies accordingly. Required Skills and Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field Strong technical, analytical, and systems thinking skills Experience in facilities management, equipment maintenance, or process engineering preferred Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Miro, Microsoft Visio, and safety/audit software Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams Familiarity with safety compliance standards and operational risk management
