Mechanical Engineering Technician — Willetton, Canning Area

We’re looking for a full-time Mechanical Engineering Technician to support our engineering and production teams by bringing mechanical systems to life — from concept to commissioning. Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for machinery, precision, and performance? We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support our engineering and production teams by bringing mechanical systems to life — from concept to commissioning. What You’ll Do: • Assist in design, assemble, modify, install, test, and maintenance of mechanical components and systems. • Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and other technicians on prototype builds and system improvements. • Evaluate and interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide fabrication and installation. • Using CAD software to compose and alter engineering drawings. • Conduct routine mechanical inspections, diagnostics, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs. • Gathering data to review performance, identify possible issues and provide any other insights. • Document work processes, test results, and maintenance records with accuracy • Estimate costs and expected lifespan of the mechanical components. • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all tasks. What You’ll Bring: • A diploma, trade qualification, or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field or 3 years relevant experience. • Experience working with pumps, piping, hydraulics, or industrial machinery (advantageous). • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and tools. • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and engineering schematics. • Hands-on skills, a team-first attitude, and a passion for solving real-world problems. • Excellent attention to detail, safety mindset, and time management.
