As a Mechanical and Pipeline Engineer, you will be responsible for high quality mechanical engineering and deliverables that will see you take your career to the next level. Your role will be diverse, allowing you to execute on piping, pipelines and mechanical engineering projects. About the role Our Adelaide office is looking for a Mechanical and Pipeline Engineer to join us. As a Mechanical and Pipeline Engineer you will: Provide technical support in the Engineering and Design processes for oil and gas pipelines. Develop and support in FEED and concept design studies including detailed design calculations. Develop and support in the development of scoping documents such as routing studies, construction methodology, design criteria and pipeline alignment sheets. Participate and support in risk assessment and associated workshops. Prepare and support in cost estimates, equipment summaries and tender packages. Prepare piping and pressure vessel design documents, and analysis of static equipment. Carry out mechanical engineering design and documentation from concept through to construction stage. Write technical reports as required. About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree alongside relevant experience is mandatory. 3-5 years’ experience in a range of mechanical engineering skills, particularly pipeline design, piping and pressure vessel design, and analysis of static equipment. Have proven Australian experience in oil and gas pipeline design including concept development, FEED and detail design phases. Knowledge of AS2885 and other relevant Australian Standards, acts, regulations and codes related to the pipeline industry. Has or is working towards becoming an Engineers Australia Chartered Engineer. Ability to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines. Experience working in oil and gas facilities or similar heavy or manufacturing industries. Experience in development, application, and preservation of engineering and design standards, systems and processes. Superior communication and writing skills, including report development.
