Our client seeking a number of experienced and hands-on IP Network Field Engineers to join our team. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting IP-based network infrastructure at client sites, data centres, or remote locations. Your work will ensure high availability, performance, and adherence to technical standards across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments. Key Responsibilities: Perform on-site installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in real-time, covering Layers 1–3 (routing, switching, and physical connectivity). Interpret network designs, implementation plans, and technical schematics to execute accurate deployments. Collaborate with network architects and operations teams to align field implementations with design specifications and business goals. Conduct site-based network assessments, audits, and performance health checks. Maintain thorough documentation of site activities, including configuration details, topology changes, and incident resolutions. Provide post-deployment support and user training to site personnel as required. Track and manage hardware inventory and installation records. Adhere to all safety guidelines, quality standards, and industry best practices. Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to urgent field incidents or outages. Required Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IP networking, with a focus on field deployment or technical support roles. Solid understanding of key networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, NAT). Proficient in working with network equipment from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba). Strong Layer 1–3 troubleshooting skills. Ability to interpret network diagrams, rack layouts, and cabling schematics. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to flexible work schedules. Desirable Qualifications: Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network, or JNCIA. Experience with fibre and copper cabling, including termination splicing and testing. Familiarity with wireless network design and RF fundamentals. Basic understanding of network security appliances and firewall technologies. Prior experience in data centre, ISP, or large-scale enterprise network environments.
