We’re looking for a motivated Senior Software Developer to join a growing technology team working at the forefront of energy and software innovation. The Role This role is embedded within a forward-thinking Technology Team responsible for developing the next generation of internal and external-facing solutions. The work involves modernising legacy .NET 4 applications to .NET 9, adopting a cloud-first approach with Aspire and Docker for local development. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore advanced concepts such as Generative AI, Semantic Search, and custom AI integrations using Azure OpenAI and GitHub models. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in C#, Azure services, and modern software development best practices. You’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Technology and a skilled team of developers in a supportive and agile environment. Skills Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using .NET technologies Architect and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet real-world requirements Participate in code reviews to promote quality and knowledge sharing Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5 years of experience in software development with a focus on C# and the .NET ecosystem Strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns Hands-on experience with Azure services, including: Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps (ACA), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Proficiency with Blazor and ASP.NET (experience with other frameworks like React or Angular also valued) Solid database skills (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and related design principles) Knowledge of container orchestration and infrastructure-as-code tools Experience with GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines Experience with microservice architecture Location: On-site at a modern Brisbane CBD office (South Bank) Senior Software Developer – Brisbane CBD - $140K Super (negotiable) – C#, .Net, Blazor, Azure – Ai Technology – Advanced Tech Stack.
