Project Engineer — Clayton, Monash Area

Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineer with a strong background in the Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment. This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure and cloud projects, supporting client onboarding, migrations, upgrades, and deployments within a fast-paced and client-focused MSP setting. Responsibilities: Plan, manage, and implement IT infrastructure and cloud projects across multiple client environments. Engage with clients to gather requirements, provide solutions, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Perform system upgrades, server deployments, network configurations, and cloud migrations (e.g., Office 365, Azure, AWS). Collaborate with internal technical teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and handover of projects. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Level 2/3 engineers during project execution. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client objectives. Maintain detailed project documentation, including scopes of work, change requests, and handover materials. Assist in presales activities including solution design and estimation. Required Skills and Experience: 3 years of experience in a similar Project Engineering role within an MSP environment. Strong technical expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure, and networking technologies. Experience with firewalls, routers, VPNs, and remote access solutions (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWall). Proven experience managing client-facing IT projects end-to-end. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with ITIL principles and project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, PMP).
