About the Role This dynamic role involves the engineering of agricultural land, infrastructure, machinery, and systems, contributing to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability across operations. You will collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to design, develop, supervise, and optimise feedlot and farming infrastructure, while integrating renewable energy and regenerative practices. Key Responsibilities: Designing and Developing: Develop and implement innovative agricultural infrastructure, machinery, and systems. Lead the design of irrigation, water storage, drainage, and other critical infrastructure. Apply precision and regenerative agriculture technologies to drive sustainability. Supervising Construction and Installation: Oversee the installation of machinery and infrastructure, ensuring quality and safety compliance. Ensure engineering projects are delivered on time and within budget. Planning and Engineering Execution: Manage the planning and execution of key projects including flood mitigation, solar integration, and land-use optimisation. Work cross-functionally to align engineering solutions with business and operational goals. Research, Development, and Analysis: Evaluate equipment performance and operational efficiencies. Drive continuous improvement through research, data analysis, and technology adoption. Contribute to environmental sustainability through renewable and waste reduction initiatives. Consulting and Advising: Provide expert engineering input across departments and to external partners. Collaborate with leadership, agronomists, and farm management to integrate new systems. Operational Duties: Conduct safe and efficient machinery operation and maintenance. Maintain accurate data records, support WHS compliance, and uphold animal welfare standards. Report incidents and facility issues promptly and professionally. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or related discipline. Practical experience in engineering project management in an agricultural setting. Understanding of WHS, environmental compliance, and biosecurity. Knowledge of irrigation, automation, or renewable energy systems is advantageous. Skills & Attributes: Strong technical and analytical skills.
