We are currently recruiting for appropriately skilled people who are keen to join the CASA family and grow with us. We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team in Bundamba. In this role you will be required to provide engineering, coordination and project administration support ensuring that all company and contract objectives are met ensuring that all operational safety, quality, environmental, production and programme requirements are met. Duties will include : Ensure the safety of all personnel across the project by enforcing compliance with the OHS Policies and procedures Prepare and maintain all project administration. Competitive tendering of trade packages. Evaluate and compare tenders for negotiation by the Project Manager. Evaluate and prepare invoices for approval by the Project Manager. Evaluate and prepare subcontract variations for negotiation by the Project Manager. Prepare head contract variations and issuing Prepare head contract progress claims and issuing Prepare project cost reports Attend site meetings as requested and prepare meeting minutes Adherence to procedural documentation. Ensure the well being of the Casa Engineering (Brisbane) Pty Ltd personnel through effective communication and implementation of the policies and procedures. Effectively communicate with all aspects within Casa Engineering (Brisbane) Pty Ltd as required. Actively promote Quality, Safety & Environment Policies throughout the business. Ensure risk assessments are conducted for all major activities. Ensure Casa Engineering (Brisbane) Pty Ltd complies with the current safety and environmental legislation. Be familiar with the OH&S Management Plan and it's documents and provide advice when required to subordinates To be considered for this position, you will need to have an Australian recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Structural) and a minimum of 2 years' post graduate experience. You will also have a proven track record of compliance and safety as well as an understanding and experience in self performing and sub contract works. You'll also need : Appropriate exposure to the construction industry Knowledge of QA and workplace health and safety processes. Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings. Sound planning and time management skills. Ability to work autonomously and as a contributing member to a team. This is a full time position working 6 days per week with an immediate start available. Remuneration of $70,000 - $75,000 per annum will be offered to the successful candidate.
