This is a key leadership position within the local commercial team, responsible for setting the regional sales strategy, driving revenue outcomes, and leading the team to success. You’ll report to the General Manager of Australia, and work closely with the Global Director of Account Management to align global sales best practices, strategic account planning, and performance reporting. This is not a frontline sales role. We’re looking for someone who can coach and lead a high-performing team, shape sales strategy, and work cross-functionally across Revenue Management, Marketing, and Reservations to grow revenue across the region. Responsibilities Directly lead and manage the Sales team for Australia, across both Business Development and Account Management functions Own the regional sales strategy, including market segmentation, performance targets, and revenue growth planning Be a senior voice within the Australian commercial leadership team, working alongside Revenue, Marketing and Operations Collaborate closely with the Global Director of Account Management to roll out best-in-class sales processes and manage Global Accounts Partner with our Revenue and Distribution team to align commercial strategies and maximise yield across B2B and B2C segments Contribute to company-wide go-to-market strategies, including the launch of new properties Coach, mentor and grow a team of sales professionals to deliver revenue outcomes while building long-term client partnerships Represent Urban Rest in the market—attending events, hosting site inspections, and meeting with key corporate stakeholders Share market insights, pipeline updates and client feedback to influence future product decisions and acquisition strategy What We Look For A seasoned sales leader with extensive experience in the hotel, serviced apartment, or travel sector Proven track record in leading teams, shaping sales strategy, and delivering strong revenue results Strong understanding of corporate travel, RFPs, and key procurement cycles in Australia Excellent relationship management skills and a collaborative leadership style Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across functions and geographies Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth business is highly valued How to Apply At Urban Rest, we extend our invitation to candidates from Indigenous, neurodiverse, disabled, international, and diverse cultural backgrounds.
