You’ll design, develop and maintain advanced trading algorithms, focusing on speed, reliability and performance. Your background in HFT and prop trading will be invaluable as you collaborate with key stakeholders to push the boundaries of execution speed and efficiency. What's a typical day look like? Develop and optimise low-latency trading algorithms in Java and .Net for critical performance components Collaborate with traders, quants, and other developers to refine trading strategies and execution paths Improve system architecture, focusing on latency reduction, scalability, and fault tolerance in a high-frequency environment Conduct thorough testing, performance analysis, and debugging to ensure robust and reliable algo performance under real market conditions Stay current with the latest technologies, exchange protocols, and industry best practices to maintain competitive edge About you: Proven experience in Java and/or .Net development, including concurrency and low-level programming techniques Exposure to C++ / Python, ideally in high-performance or real-time environments Proven track record in algo design, including signal generation, order execution logic, and strategy backtesting Background in prop trading, HFT, or similar high-frequency trading environments Strong understanding of low-latency design patterns, network protocols, and multi-threading Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under fast-paced, time-critical conditions Familiarity with market data feeds, order management systems, and exchange connectivity Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident If you’re a Trading Developer with the expertise and a passion for high-frequency trading, we’d love to hear from you!
