ABOUT THE POSITION: Museums Victoria is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Multimedia Systems Administrator - Projects & Road to Zero to join our Technical Services team. This role is responsible for contributing to the implementation and secure operation of MV's multimedia systems and infrastructure, with a focus on visitor-facing technologies, including those supporting the Road to Zero: Road Safety Experience. The position plays a critical part in maintaining core multimedia services and implementing innovative new systems aligned with ICT policies and cybersecurity standards. Some of the key duties include: * Provide expert technical administration, monitoring, maintenance, and support for multimedia infrastructure—both on-premises and cloud-based—ensuring optimal system performance and visitor experience. * Plan, prepare, and execute complex multimedia technical activities, including the deployment of Digital Media Servers (DMS) and other control systems such as Nodel. * Undertake technical investigations and troubleshoot advanced issues in collaboration with the Head, Technical Services, Media Systems, ICT teams, and the Road to Zero Project Manager. * Lead and support the technical implementation of projects, incorporating Museums Victoria standards, cybersecurity protocols, and risk-managed design. * Mentor and provide technical coaching to colleagues in the Multimedia and Road to Zero teams, fostering knowledge-sharing and cross-skilling. * Apply new concepts and technologies to innovate and enhance multimedia systems and delivery, including system design and automation. * Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and technical guidelines to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. * Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives and professional development activities to remain current in emerging multimedia technologies. The successful applicant will have: * Proven experience in maintaining and deploying multimedia infrastructure, including media servers and DMS systems, in both on-premises and cloud environments. * Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills at a senior level, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer-focused services. * Extensive knowledge of multimedia platforms, device access management, and control systems such as Nodel. * Understanding of cybersecurity standards, including practical application of risk mitigation strategies within multimedia environments. * Demonstrated success in delivering technical and cybersecurity projects, including reporting, stakeholder communication, and budget accountability. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in producing technical documentation and reports. * Commitment to leadership, mentorship, and continuous learning in a team environment. * The successful applicant is required to undergo a National Police Records Check and be assessed as suitable (new employees are required to meet this cost).
