Immediate Start Permanent Opportunities CBD location A major Australian telco is seeking a Transmission Engineer to lead transmission planning activities for mobile access networks. Initially a 6 month contract highly likely to extend for the right person. This role focuses on solution design, vendor coordination, and capacity planning, with a strong emphasis on IP and optical transmission technologies. Key Responsibilities: Data analysing, planning, implementation and managing data inventory of Transmission links for access network and day to day coordination with 3rd party vendors and suppliers. Design and plan transmission solutions to support mobile access network growth and performance. Track and manage data deliverables to ensure adequate capacity across the access network. Liaise with third-party suppliers to obtain quotes, assess feasibility, and coordinate delivery of services. Develop and maintain documentation for any backhaul/fronthaul services, including network diagrams, configuration files, and vendor agreements Conduct regular data audits and assessments of transmission services to ensure data integrity and operating efficiency Qualifications: Minimum 3 years in a relevant role within the telecom sector. Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field Familiar with various transmission technologies and transport network infrastructure such as IP and optical DWDM Analytical Tools: Proficient in Excel and Word for data analysis and reporting.
