About the Role: This role is a 10 month Fixed-Term maternity leave cover with a possibility to extend. As our People & Culture Admin and Systems Officer, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our HR operations running smoothly. From maintaining employee records to supporting the onboarding and offboarding process, to ensuring compliance, you’ll be the go-to person for HR admin, data management, and system support. You’ll also help us grow a positive, inclusive culture where everyone feels valued. Key Responsibilities: HR Administration & Employee Support: Maintain accurate employee records including contracts, onboarding documents, and compliance checks (National Police Clearances, Working with Children’s Check, and more). Support with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for all employees. Coordinate training and professional development, keeping track of training data and compliance. Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a friendly and supportive manner. HR Systems, Data & Compliance: Oversee our Human Resources Information Systems to ensure data is up-to-date and accurate. Look for ways to automate and streamline HR processes to boost efficiency. Culture, Diversity & Inclusion: Assist with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, ensuring that our workplace is welcoming for everyone, including Aboriginal, CALD, and LGBTQIA employees. Support employee wellbeing programs, including recognition initiatives and mental health resources. About You: You have at least 2 years’ experience in a People and Culture role, and you’re comfortable handling a wide range of HR admin tasks. You’ve got the skills: You’re proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and Sharepoint, and have hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g. Martian Logic, WageLoch). You communicate well: You’re confident in both written and verbal communication, and you know how to handle sensitive information professionally. You’re organised: You can juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines with ease, while maintaining attention to detail. You’re committed to people: You care about Equity and Diversity and are passionate about creating a safe and supportive work environment for everyone. Nice to Have: Experience interpreting and advising on Human Resource policies and regulations. 2 years of experience in a community services organisation is a big plus. Additional Information: Appointments will be subject to Australian residency/visa, satisfactory National Police check (within 3 months), Working with Children Card, and a current C or A class driver’s license.
