Job Description Senior Angular and Nginx Infrastructure Engineer Hybrid opportunity based in Canberra Initial 12-month contract up to 24-month extn Australian Citizen with active NV1 clearance Work with a large Government Department that is using cutting-edge technology to build world class platforms and capabilities to help Australians get on with their lives. Seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with experience in installing, configuring, customising and maintaining Nginx server applications. Duties / Skills Required Infrastructure Setup and Migration: Design, configure, and optimize infrastructure Angular Ngnix components required for PPC migration. Deploy and maintain systems using Angular Nginx Node.js, ensuring scalability and reliability. Support the integration and deployment of applications developed in Angular Nginx Node.js. Automate repetitive tasks and workflows to migrate Angular applications using Python scripting and GitLab (DevOps) Project Delivery: Ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Knowledge Transfer: Collaborate with internal teams to provide detailed documentation, training sessions and mentoring to ensure a seamless handover and knowledge transfer. Performance Optimization: Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, ensuring the infrastructure supports the application effectively post-migration. Security and Compliance: Ensure that all infrastructure configurations and deployments adhere to organisational security standards and compliance requirements. Technical skills: Angular, Nginx, NodeJS, Python, Ansible, Gitlab. Angular 18 on NodeJS version 20 experience, Angular and Nginx. Role particulars: Submission due: 15/05/2025 Duration: July 2025 – June 2026 Extension/s: Up to 24 months Security clearance: Active NV1 clearance is essential Location: Canberra, A.C.T Working arrangements: Hybrid – 40 hours per week The agency requires these services at the agency’s premises in Canberra. The contractor will be required to work in the Canberra office for first 6 weeks before a hybrid flexible working arrangement will be considered. Any WFH arrangements will require the contractor to work in the Canberra office a minimum of 3 days per week.
