About the role We are looking for a Facilities Engineering Support to join our team in our Malaga Data Centre for Fujitsu. This role is a permanent role on a salary with benefits associated with shift work. Provides 24 x 7* support services to the data centre client base, visitors, contractors and other data centre roles. This role is working on a shift roster pattern, the team provides 24X7 coverage. Shift work will consist of: 2 x 12-hour day shifts. 2 x 12-hour night shifts followed by 4 days off. 20% Shift allowance on top of TRP. Key Responsibilities Certification Awareness and compliance to all data centre certifications. Customer Support Escorting & Dedicated Supervision Ad-Hoc Requests Remote Hands Requests Goods Receiving Goods Collection Equipment Movement & Staging Tape Management Operational Support (BAU) DC Internal Systems Monitoring of BMS system Monitoring of CCTV system Monitoring of Access Control systems Updating Remote Hands workflow Perform routine tasks in the Fujitsu DC Management systems as directed Generating client and environmental reports as directed Action all Transition to Zero Alarms Updating Remote Hands workflow Monitor DC Mailbox Documentation Ensure all documentation is maintained and updated whenever a change occurs. Including (but not limited to) the following: Rack Layouts Patching Plans Floor Plans Telco/MDF Service Records Weekly Task List Installed Racks Switchboard Manifests Asset Management About You Come and be part of a close-knit team in Malaga reporting into the Data Centre Manager. This role has a huge variety of tasks and no two days will be the same! To hit the ground running we are ideally looking for someone with: Previous experience within a Data Centre Environment relevant to facilities maintenance, security and/or implementation activities. Hands on Network experience (Physical level, layer 1 cabling & data comms) Experience with Telco Service and its physical delivery methods Experience in a high availability data centre environment with critical SLAs Experience in the installation of rack mounting servers & IT equipment Technical Competencies A demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook Leverage the training and team knowledge to ensure proficiency in Fujitsus change control and maintenance management system. Have an understanding of critical site mechanical and electrical infrastructure in a high availability environment. Able to read facility manuals and site documentation and understand the as installed sate of the data centre. Ability to navigate and operate the onsite BMS systems Have an understanding of fire detection and suppression systems including VESDA Knowledge of IT infrastructure including backup media management, basics cabling infrastructure and rack installations Knowledge of site node room functions & Telco infrastructure such as IDF, MDF, cross-connects and uplinks Availability to do rotational shift work to cover 24 X 7 requirements Non-technical Competencies The ability to motivate, develop and work within a team Good verbal and written communication skills Commitment to continuous improvement Politeness, professionalism and good presentation Effective communication skills Process and procedural based work methods Ability to adhere to agreed processes and procedures Good attention to detail High work ethic Take accountability of your development and learning of the data centre and infrastructure (power, cooling, controls, etc) Network cabling experience desirable Why Fujitsu?
