We are looking for a Business Analytics Specialist who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to develop innovative, high-impact solutions. About the Role As a Business Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, optimising, and maintaining BI solutions that provide actionable insights for finance, operations, and leadership teams. Reporting to the Business Analytics Manager, you will ensure data accuracy, compliance, and security while integrating information from multiple data sources into our data warehouse. Your expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data engineering will be critical to the success of our reporting infrastructure and analytics strategy. This role is based in South Bank, Brisbane, in close proximity to various public transport services. In this role, you will be responsible for: Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to user and business needs Develop complex DAX calculations and scalable data models to support reporting requirements Build and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines to integrate data from SQL servers and enterprise systems, ensuring clean, reliable data for analysis Design and develop robust data warehouse solutions to support BI initiatives and strategies Ensure reports are accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with business objectives Maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, data models, and BI frameworks Uphold data security, compliance, and accuracy standards About You Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics or a related field 5 years of experience in BI development, data engineering with ETL processing Expertise in creating complex reports, dashboards, and data visualisations using Power BI and SSRS Strong proficiency in SQL, optimising ELT processes, and developing scalable data pipelines and data warehouse Experience with the Microsoft BI stack, including SSIS, SSMS, SSRS (Report Builder) and Power BI Proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Power Query M, with Python experience is a plus Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve data challenges effectively Experience working with UKG Kronos data (both on-premise and cloud) is advantageous What we offer A collaborative and innovative work environment, where data-driven decision-making is valued and encouraged A commitment to employee well-being, including access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and corporate benefits Paid parental leave to support work-life balance Ongoing learning and development, including on-the-job training, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities in data analytics and business intelligence A competitive remuneration package, based on experience Reward and Recognition Points System - we like to celebrate success!
