Cloud Systems DevOps Engineer Join Great Southern Bank as a Cloud Systems DevOps Engineer and take ownership of critical IT infrastructure that powers our Cloud-first future. In this role, you’ll work across a diverse and dynamic tech stack to maintain, improve, and secure our cloud and on-prem environments. You’ll help shape the way we work by developing innovative solutions grounded in DevOps best practices. This is a hybrid role based in Brisbane, offering the flexibility to work from home two days a week while contributing to meaningful, enterprise-wide projects. You’ll make an impact by: • Leading the planning, implementation, and support of both daily operations and strategic initiatives. • Managing and maintaining day-to-day operations across Windows IaaS, AD, ADDS, DHCP, DNS, Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune), and cloud services including Azure and AWS. • Ensuring systems are securely patched, upgraded, and aligned with best practices. • Developing, maintaining, and implementing infrastructure and operational procedures. • Proactively monitoring and maintaining system health and security. • Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve incidents and fulfill requests. • Delivering service improvements, automation initiatives, and documentation updates. • Participating in system upgrades and contributing to enhancement projects. • Reviewing and testing patches/releases, providing implementation recommendations. Do things differently with us To succeed in this role, you will have: • 10 years in infrastructure support, ideally in complex 24/7 environments. • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS and Azure. • Strong skills in Microsoft Defender, Defender for O365, and Zscaler. • Solid knowledge of M365 administration – including Exchange, Intune, Teams, OneDrive, Conditional Access and MFA. • Proven experience across infrastructure monitoring and maintenance tools. • Deep technical knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, routing, and firewalls. • Extensive experience in the management of Windows & RedHat Servers. • Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity Access Management (IAM) practices. • Experience in disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and technical design for hybrid or on-prem/cloud environments. • Ability to automate routine tasks and drive scripting efficiency.
