This role is based in Melbourne, Victoria but you will also travel across regional Victoria & Tasmania to engage with both customers and staff. A day in the life of an Industrial State Sales Manager would see you: Act as a conduit between our vendors and customers to ensure a smooth sale of stock to maximise vendor returns, whilst providing customers with access to the best stock in the market sourced by the VIC & Tasmania Sales Executives. In addition to this you will: Drive a team of Sales Executives based across VIC & TAS through personal interaction, engagement, customer management and our internal CRM. Ensure a high level utilisation of the CRM tool in your role and the team. Analyse, develop and maintain strategic sales plans for the Sales Executives. Act as a hands-on manager, working alongside Sales Executives in customer engagements to coach, train, and develop their skills in client prospecting and relationship management. Support the design and remarketing strategy of industrial stock throughout VIC & TAS. Analyse sales data throughout VIC & TAS with the view of maximising sale results. Provide reports and insights to management on sales results and initiatives on an ongoing basis. Your skills and experience: You’re the most organised person in the room, you’re up for a challenge and enjoy leading and inspiring a team of passionate people. A strong and proven background or strong knowledge in truck & transport, earthmoving machinery & mobile plant assets. Strong skillset of equipment remarketing and asset valuations. Proven track record in a leadership role, sales and new business development. Previous experience using a CRM system to identify existing and new opportunities. Outstanding customer service and time management skills. High level interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients. Strategic thinker & solution-focused.
