Electrical Engineer - U.S Deployment — Garden Island, Rockingham Area

To deliver on this new and exciting work, we are seeking skilled Test Engineer to undertake long-term, world-leading training in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, U.S. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to further your career and professional capabilities through collaborations and upskilling with world-leading industry partners. Placements are available in September 2025 and will be approximately 115 weeks in duration. Responsibilities As an Electrical Engineer with ASC, your responsibilities include: Provide technical direction for engineering requirements on electrical systems for all non-nuclear systems. Determination of material specification and quality control requirements for inspection and verification. Troubleshoot and resolve any problems encountered during installation and testing phases. Liaise with production, operations and logistics to provide rapid resolutions to problems on submarine components. Determine labor and materials requirement; and prepare technical work documents for all jobs. Eligibility Criteria The successful applicant must possess: Australian Citizenship Bachelor of Electrical Engineering 1-5 years' experience Experience within the defence industry or on submarines (desirable) An ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 defence clearance Additional Details During deployment, you will receive on the job training combined with instructor led classroom training. This training program and work is carried out in accordance with company and US Navy processes and procedures. At the completion of your deployment, you will return to Western Australia (WA) to carry out the planning, management, and in-water maintenance activities on the United States Navy Virginia Class Submarines at HMAS Stirling. Repatriation to WA is non-negotiable, so please consider this when applying.
