About the role We are currently seeking Engineering/Technical Leader in Water sector based in Melbourne, VIC Laing O’Rourke is looking for leaders in a range of water projects with diverse working experience in areas such as Sewage, Water Treatment, and Pumping Stations. The position is open for candidates currently in Melbourne or willing to relocate. Key responsibilities You will be responsible for the leadership of all technical aspects of the project (design, engineering delivery, digital engineering, and quality) ensuring we deliver value and technical certainty that exceeds our client expectations. You have prior experience and knowledge dealing with state relevant regulatory bodies and familiar with related statutory environment. About you The role is suited to an engineering leader with strong project management skills with a technical bend that understands the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of works in water projects. You will ideally be engineering degree qualified in chemical, mechanical, or electrical complimented with a professional chartership from a recognised professional institution. You demonstrate work collaboration with clients, across business units and with our delivery partners (designers, sub-contractors, consultants) to share knowledge. You will have no less than 15 years of working experience most of which with water projects across multiple areas. You are adept at leading design teams and coaching and developing engineers. In addition, you possess diverse skillset that would enable you to make significant contributions to different phases of the project and the company as a whole.
