Job description DevOps Engineer - Cloud Services Join a forward-thinking public sector organisation responsible for delivering critical digital infrastructure across Queensland. We're seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of cloud services, supporting a large-scale enterprise environment. ABOUT THE ROLE As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving cloud transformation by building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure and automation frameworks. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll deliver robust CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cutting-edge solutions across Azure and AWS. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using IaC and DevOps best practices Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes Lead performance monitoring, incident resolution, and platform improvements Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance cloud operations Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align cloud capabilities with strategic business needs Champion continuous improvement initiatives across cloud platforms EXPERIENCE 5 years' experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Administration Hands-on expertise with Azure and/or AWS platforms Strong scripting and automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) Deep understanding of CI/CD tools and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) Knowledge of ITIL and modern DevOps methodologies Strong communication, troubleshooting, and collaborative skills Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) - highly regarded WHY APPLY?
