Project Engineer - Temporary Works — Victoria, Australia

Our client is a well-established building contractor with over 40 years of demonstrated experience across commercial, industrial, education and government building projects in Australia and New Zealand. They specialise temporary works and vertical access solutions, providing a high-quality service and working in partnership with other contractors, consultants and design partners. As a result of a growing demand with new projects they are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. In this role you will be responsible but not limited to: Develop and maintain project schedules, scoping from delivery commencement to completion Liaise and provide engineering drawings to clients paying close attention to revision mark ups, responding to client queries regarding project updates and passing on any vital details regarding installation and non-engineering complaints to Operations and Install managers Develop and maintain project schedules, scoping from delivery commencement to completion Work closely with Engineering Manager and Operations Managers providing regular updates on and reports on projects, both informally and by running the project planning meetings. Ensure compliance to relevant Australian Standards for Fabrication and Erection. Ensure quality of work and client satisfaction with particular attention to safety and best work practices. Ideally, we are seeking an engineer who can demonstrate the following: A sound and highly articulate communicator with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders. A team player with the ability to work with other disciplines to attain the best solution collectively and with a strong “can do” attitude Knowledge and experience working in the local construction industry (2 years ) Knowledge of temporary works installation procedures – cranes, screening, scaffold and hoists Certification in Project Management and or Cert IV in OHS You must have: Civil or Mechanical engineering Experience in Project Planning or Management Full working rights in Australia (no visa sponsorship will be associated with this position) Current Driver’s licence Intermediate to Advanced level with MS Word & Excel Exposure to AutoCAD and drafting (basic to intermediate level) Benefits: Full time permanent role Long term career opportunities with a growing global brand.
