Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to project deliverables, assist with calculations and documentation, and participate in site activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills, gain hands on experience and work towards Chartered status with Engineers Australia. Your duties will include • Assist in the design of power systems, motors and drive systems and electrical protection systems • Specify equipment such as switchboards, instruments, generators and UPS • Familiarity and building knowledge of technical software for engineering calculations (e.g. ETAP, SKM PTW, Power CAD) • Support project controls, estimations, scoping, scheduling and documentation • Participate in risk assessments and ensure compliance with Australian standards, Ventia systems and client requirements • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to design reviews • Engage in continuous learning and process improvement initiatives Required Skills and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Instrumentation Engineering • Relevant experience or equivalent postgraduate experience (i.e. engineering project tasks – basic calculations, documentation support, field work) • Familiarity with Australian standards, Electrical and Safety regulations • Solid communication, attention to detail and time management skills • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work autonomously • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with AutoCAD or engineering software is a plus • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow Must have full working rights in Australia.
