Mills Recruitment is seeking a Lead Electrical & Automation Engineer to join a global industry leader specialising in materials handling solutions based in Perth with site travel as required. The Role As the Lead Electrical & Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge EPC and EPCM bulk material handling projects. You will be responsible for leading and supporting the Electrical & Automation Team and Engineering Partners, ensuring technical excellence and project success. Key Responsibilities: Execute electrical and automation scopes for EPC & EPCM bulk material handling projects. Work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Collaborate with the electrical design team to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Liaise with engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct electrical network studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, arc flash) using Engineering Design Software. Develop electrical specifications and designs in compliance with local regulations and client requirements. Review and approve designs from team members and Engineering Partners. Manage project schedules, budgets (costs & man-hours), and interface coordination. Oversee factory acceptance tests for electrical equipment. Provide site assistance during construction and commissioning phases. About You 5–10 years’ experience in bulk materials handling with exposure to medium to large projects with in the Mining Industry Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer. Strong knowledge of Australian Standards. Registration with Engineers Australia Experience in electrical network analysis. Proficiency in medium and low voltage switchgear. Good understanding of Automation Systems & Functional Safety.
