Early Childhood Teacher — Glenorchy, Glenorchy Area

Glenorchy City Council is seeking a motivated, engaged, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our dedicated teams at our Moonah and Berriedale Early Learning Centres. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with a team of passionate educators to implement the Approved Learning Framework, supporting the development and wellbeing of children from birth to five years of age. We're committed to delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate educational programs that inspire learning and support families in our community. Your Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging and age-appropriate educational programs for children aged birth to five years. Mentor and support other educators to ensure high-quality educational practices across the service. Contribute to the ongoing development of the service in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF). Participate in the Assessment and Rating process to support continuous improvement. Lead and engage in professional conversations and reflective practices focused on child development and wellbeing. Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues, supporting a collaborative learning environment. What We're Looking For: We’re seeking a passionate educator who thrives in a team environment and is committed to early childhood excellence. You’ll bring: A recognised ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification, or a willingness to obtain Teacher Registration if applicable. Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Framework (NQF). A collaborative, team-focused approach and a commitment to professional development. Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the importance of family engagement. A current Working with Vulnerable People Registration – Child Related Activity. Position Hours: Monday - Friday - Part-time minimum of 30 hours per week up to full-time 38 hours per week.
