You’ll be part of a team that builds some of the most latency-sensitive systems in the market - working in an environment where new ideas are encouraged and delivery has a direct impact on trading success. What’s a typical day look like? Building and maintaining connectivity to global exchanges using protocols such as FIX, ITCH, OUCH, OMNET, FLEX, J-GATE, Arrowhead Developing in Java or C++ in a performance-critical, low-latency environment Analysing exchange specifications and implementing protocol changes or new integrations Enhancing and supporting order entry and market data systems Monitoring and optimising network and system latency, ensuring performance and resiliency Troubleshooting connectivity and trading issues in real time, working closely with infrastructure, ops, and trading teams Participating in global connectivity initiatives across multiple regions and venues Supporting releases, deployments, and production incident resolution Maintaining strong documentation, test coverage, and version control About you: Strong programming skills in Java or C++, with exposure to multithreaded and low-latency systems Experience with exchange protocols such as FIX, ITCH, OUCH, OMNET, FLEX, J-GATE, Arrowhead Understanding of market microstructure and trading workflows Familiarity with Linux-based environments, shell scripting and performance tuning Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/UDP), packet capture tools and diagnostics Understanding of networking fundamentals – routing, switching, multicast, latency optimisation Exposure to multicast/unicast market data feeds and messaging protocols (e.g. TCP/UDP, Kafka) Ability to interpret complex technical documentation from exchanges and vendors Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset If you’re a Connectivity Specialist and a passion for high-frequency trading, we’d love to hear from you!
