Government Organisation Brisbane CBD, hybrid work 12 month contract About your role As the Cloud DevOps (AWS) Engineer you will provide specialist system support and advice to stakeholders, including customers, business partners and internal staff. This role extends beyond creating the IaC, but drafting/influencing technical blueprints; it entails taking the AWS architecture to the next level of innovative, scalable and high-performance structures using AWS Kubernetes for React, GraphQL, Node.js and Java applications. About you Your hallmark will be AWS hands-on development of efficient, scalable, and easily maintainable code, all while ensuring products and platforms perform seamlessly together across multiple government agencies. You will require an advanced understanding of AWS technologies and experience in managing a wide variety of roles in cloud networks. Technical requirements Ability to design, implement, and manage robust and scalable infrastructure and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using GitHub Actions Ability to collaborate closely with internal technical teams and technical specialists to streamline processes, enhance system reliability, and ensure seamless delivery. Emphasis is placed on implementing secure DevOps practices, ensuring compliance with security standards, and integrating security measures throughout the development lifecycle. Strong AWS administrator skills (Infrastructure deployments, applications, software updates). High level working knowledge of AWS technologies, e.g. Kubernetes/Fargate, CloudWatch/CloudTrail, Load Balancing and networking Strong Scripting/Automation (shell/python/JavaScript/CDK/Terraform) Extensive working knowledge and experience with Linux Operating Systems This role includes the provision of after-hours support via on-call and/or overtime arrangements.
