Following the recent implementation of the Technology One (OneCouncil) system, the Finance team is seeking additional support to help manage transitional workloads and maintain service excellence. Job Description Provide administrative support across Finance and Rates functions Manage customer enquiries related to rates, payments, and property accounts Assist with reconciliations, data entry, and financial record-keeping Support debt recovery and follow-up processes as required Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve account issues Maintain accurate records in line with council policies and procedures Contribute to clearing the backlog created by the recent system rollout The Successful Applicant To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate: Previous experience in finance administration, customer service, or debt recovery Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational and time management abilities Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment Experience in local government or with rates/revenue systems (highly desirable) Familiarity with Technology One (OneCouncil) is a plus, but not essential We are open to candidates from a range of relevant professions, including: Finance administration Financial officers with customer-facing roles Debt recovery or collections Paralegals (particularly in finance, property, or lending) What's on Offer Competitive pay at Band 4/5 level, based on experience Flexible contract duration (3 to 6 months) Supportive and community-oriented work environment Great opportunity to develop or expand experience in the public sector Take this opportunity to make a real impact in local government.
