About the role The Metering Systems Application Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the MDM (Meter Data Management) system is performing the required functions to support the business processes and SLAs. The Metering Systems Application Support Engineer will also test Metering Systems software releases to validate that they have the required functionality, reliability, security and flexibility. The role provides monitoring and timely response to incidents to prevent impacts to the 24/7 service. What you will be doing Support Meter Data Management system (MDM) running on Cloud technologies (Cosmos, Databricks, RabbitMQ, Azure Function Apps) Provide support and triage of issues as required including rotating after-hours support Plan and execute testing related to incident resolution and/or enhancements with business owners Develop SME knowledge on the system and processes and help improve its robustness Review delivered test suites from our vendors or projects, contributing to improving these where required Analysis of requirements and specifications to develop Requirements Traceability Matrix, Creating efficient test data to establish baseline and reusability of the same data set. What you will bring to the role Education/ Certificates Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Engineering equivalent are required Experience and Knowledge Experience with Cosmos, Databricks and Azure highly regarded Knowledge of RabbitMQ, Service Now, Confluence/JIRA Experience working in the National Electricity Market (NEM) would be beneficial Around 4 –7 years’ experience in: Software testing experience API Testing experience and associated tools (Postman, SoapUI etc) Familiarity and experience in Test Management tools (Practitest, JIRA etc) Experience in testing Web based / Client server applications / Batch applications. Strong manual testing background.
