The Role: Working within the Product Development team located at our global head office in Kilsyth, Melbourne, we are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to develop new ARB products. As part of our design team you will be involved in bringing new concepts and ideas to life through design, validation, and documentation. You will be involved in the development process from the initial concept through until release to market. This will include vehicle specific accessories and general accessories with a retail/consumer focus. Key Responsibilities include: Development of electronic products based on a design brief and agreed timeline. Understanding customer requirements and converting them into design briefs. Communication with internal and external stakeholders including product management and suppliers. Product testing, evaluation and compliance. Project documentation. The successful applicant must offer: Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in hands-on electronics design suitable to the automotive industry essential Experience in end-to-end electronics design using Altium software, able to design solutions (from scratch) that satisfy complex requirements ideally including vehicle ECUs for OEM or aftermarket applications Experience in CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UART circuit design Experience in designing analogue and digital circuits, connected/smart devices (IoT) such as BLE, Wi-Fi, MCU/SoC applications Embedded design experience - ability to define MCU port configuration and hardware-software interface specifications and communicate requirements to firmware engineer Experience in embedded programming (C/C++, Python) and mobile app development (IoS, Android) Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering RPEV registered or meets requirement for RPEV registration What’s on offer: Competitive base salary, plus super, leave loading, plus significant employee product discounts.
