Working in Healthcare has never been more important or meaningful About the Role - Administration Officer (Ward Clerk), McCulloch House - Supportive and Palliative Care Unit Join our team as a Ward Clerk on a permanent part time basis (48 hours per fortnight). We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Ward Clerk to join our dynamic team. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors both over the phone and face to face. On accepting this role, you will fast become an integral member of a cohesive team, working closely alongside nursing, medical and allied health staff as well as becoming a point of call for PSAs. About Us McCulloch House is a 16 inpatient bed unit specialising in supportive and palliative care. Patients are referred to us internally through Monash Health and externally through community palliative care services and/or other private and public health services. We cater to a variety of health conditions to provide the best quality of life About You You are a proactive, experienced healthcare administrator who enjoys a fast paced environment and can work effectively working alongside a multidisciplinary team. As an accomplished Ward Clerk dedicated to patient and family centred care, your key responsibilities are: Ward Clerk duties as described in Monash Health position description Assistance in stores management - ordering, stocktake, re-stocking Support and take direction from the Associate Nurse Manager and Nurse Manager The ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment Excellent customer services skills and ability to remain calm and helpful in a challenging or changing environment Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Enthusiasm, compassion & the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health team Have a passion for and are able to learn new systems and processes quickly Being a team player A positive approach to a frequently changing environment Please note this role does have fixed shifts and you must be able to work: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays 9am until 5:30pm, with no weekends or public holiday shifts.
