$95,187 - $108,734 up to 15.4% Superannuation Brindabella Park - ACT The Role You will work directly to support the Executive function for the office of First Assistant Secretary Industry Engagement (FASIE) to ensure timely and efficient administrative workflows to and from the office of FASIE, including Ministerial correspondence and media enquiries. The role also provides support to the Industry Engagement Division senior leadership team in progressing complex issues, ensuring timely and robust advice and support is provided to FASIE. This role requires strong organisation and communication skills to liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. About our Team Industry Engagement Division leads the implementation of the Defence Industry Development Strategy to partner and support Industry in order to build Defence’s Industrial Base to create a stronger, more secure Australia. This includes how Defence engages with industry to better inform industry of Defence’s needs and Defence of industry’s capabilities. We work across Defence and with other federal agencies to implement the Australian Industry Capability program, drive exports through the creation of supply chain opportunities, run the Defence Industry Studies Course, and help Defence understand industry capability through the use of specialised tools. The Industry Engagement Division Executive Team provides support to the FASIE and the Division senior leadership teams to ensure objectives are met. The office environment is often fast paced with competing priorities and tight timeframes. The Industry Engagement Division Executive Team is an area of trust and manage information with a high level of confidentiality and discretion. It is crucial that individuals are suitably skilled, professional and work well under pressure with strong communication skills. Our ideal candidate will maintain a positive friendly outlook often under pressure and will be able to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: High level verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. Superior organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise in an efficient and effective manner. Experience with Objective records management, SharePoint Collaborative and the Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS).
