Health, Safety & Environment Administrator — Adelaide CBD, Adelaide

We seek a driven and experienced HSE Administrator to support the HSE Manager, Advisors, and wider project team, to ensure compliance with OH&S regulations, facilitate personnel onboarding and induction requirements, maintain accurate safety records, and influence & drive a positive safety culture for the project. The Project McConnell Dowell and CPB Contractors, along with Design partners Mott McDonald, Arup and Aurecon have been awarded the Tram Grade Separation Projects as an Alliance, comprising of works at three main locations along the Glenelg Tram Line. The purpose of the Tram Grade Separation Project is to improve the safety and efficiency of the major north south corridors to the west of the city by removing and improving the Glenelg Tram Road crossings. The existing overpass at South Road will be replaced in order to facilitate the construction of the T2D Project. The level crossings at Marion Road and Cross Road will be removed and replaced with an overpass, and Morphett Road level crossing will also be replaced by tram overpasses removing the interface with road traffic and creating new public spaces beneath. These projects will be delivered by the Tram Grade Separation Projects Alliance (TGSPA) together with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport. The Position Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will work closely with the Health, Safety and Environment Team to provide accurate and efficient administrative support and contribute to the safe delivery of the project. This role will be based at one of three project sites, metro-Adelaide, south of the CBD, to support the project operations team in a construction environment. Key Responsibilities Assist and coordinate the onboarding and project induction processes for all site personnel including subcontractors and visitors and manage onboarding documentation for incoming project personnel. Assist in the development and coordination of HSE promotion initiatives, activities, and events. Assist in the preparation of Project and Safety reports. Assist with development and design of specialty topics for toolbox and pre-start meetings. Facilitate training and maintain up-to-date and accurate training and qualification records for project personnel. Skills and Experience Relevant experience in a safety administration role within the civil construction or mining industry Experience in document compliance procedures and processes and understanding of technology to support HSE systems. Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Microsoft Power BI. Strong ability to develop excellent working relationships with all staff.
