Senior IT Systems Administrator — Brisbane CBD, Brisbane

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior IT Support Consultant with strong expertise in Microsoft technologies and enterprise infrastructure support. This role sits within a high-performing Microsoft Services Team, supporting a dynamic ICT environment that services a broad client base across government and corporate sectors. This is a senior-level technical position offering a blend of hands-on support, strategic input, solution architecture, and project leadership. Key Responsibilities Deliver advanced system administration services across Microsoft platforms in line with agreed service levels. Provide expert technical input into solution proposals, tenders, and new business opportunities. Take a lead technical role in projects including customer onboarding and infrastructure design. Participate in workshops, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and product development activities. Identify and recommend infrastructure improvements through performance analysis and risk assessments. Collaborate closely with cross-functional ICT teams including architecture, networks, product management, and project delivery. You will bring: Significant experience in Windows Server administration within a complex enterprise environment. A strong grasp of Microsoft infrastructure and virtualization (particularly VMware). Proven ability to automate and streamline operations using scripting tools such as PowerShell or VBScript. High-level experience with core infrastructure services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. Expertise with MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager), software deployment (MSI/MSIX), and update management. Experience configuring application control tools – Windows Defender Application Control preferred.
