Our client, BE Switchcraft Pty Ltd, specializes in designing and manufacturing high-quality electrical switchboards and other critical components for a wide range of industries. They are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join their dynamic team and contribute to the production of high-end switchboard enclosures and other metal components. Key Responsibilities: Interpret and apply engineering schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical drawings to assist in the assembly and installation of electrical switchboards and control systems. Assemble electrical components and subassemblies into switchboards, panels, and cabinets in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. Install and terminate power and control wiring, including low-voltage and three-phase systems, ensuring compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards. Fabricate, install, and secure copper busbars and associated fittings within electrical distribution assemblies, following precise measurements and layout specifications. Install, mount, and interconnect electrical switchgear, motor control centers, circuit protection devices, and control equipment. Perform electrical testing and verification of installed switchboards, control assemblies, and wiring systems to ensure functional performance, safety, and compliance with technical requirements. Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), including adherence to documentation and process control standards. Ensure all activities comply with statutory legislation, industry codes of conduct, safety regulations, and relevant Australian Standards Requirements At least 3 years of experience in a similar role Sound understanding of electrical systems, components, and control panel construction.
