We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our commissioning team on a gold flotation processing plant project. This is a FIFO position from Perth on a 9 days on / 5 days off roster , offered as a 6-month contract with the potential for extension based on project needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures and inspection plans in alignment with project and industry standards Conduct inspections, audits, and surveillance of construction and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings Manage and review quality documentation including ITPs, check sheets, and turnover packages Liaise with construction, engineering, and commissioning teams to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner Coordinate non-conformance reporting (NCR), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventative actions Support pre-commissioning and commissioning verification processes Ensure accurate and timely completion of all quality records for handover Required Skills & Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Engineering with additional QA/QC certifications Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects Experience in mineral processing plant construction or commissioning, particularly flotation circuits, is highly regarded Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively in remote site environments White Card, current driver’s licence, and other relevant tickets (desirable) What We Offer: Competitive daily rate with super on all hours Stable FIFO roster (9/5) from Perth Involvement in a major commissioning project with a reputable mining operator A supportive team environment focused on quality, safety, and delivery At Chandler Macleod, we are committed to fostering a diverse workforce where everyone is welcome.
