The Opportunity Based at our cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Coolum Beach, you’ll take ownership of developing, refining, and leading manufacturing processes for our innovative range of luxury RVs. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this full-time role is your chance to combine hands-on engineering, lean manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance every step of our production journey. Your Impact You’ll play a key role in improving how we build — safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and optimising assembly processes across chassis, electrical, cabinetry, and plumbing systems. Creating and maintaining work instructions, SOPs, and production documentation. Driving lean manufacturing initiatives using 5S, kaizen, value stream mapping, and PFMEA. Leading time and motion studies to improve efficiency and workflow. Collaborating with Design and R&D to ensure manufacturability of new models. Supporting new product introduction and production readiness. Implementing jigs, fixtures, and tooling for safe and effective assembly. Monitoring production metrics like takt time, rework, OEE, and first-time pass rates. Leading change control and continuous improvement across the shop floor. What You’ll Bring We’re looking for an experienced engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and loves solving problems at the intersection of design and production. Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent). 3–5 years’ experience in production/manufacturing engineering within automotive, RV, or related industries. Proficiency in lean manufacturing, PFMEA, RCA, and continuous improvement tools. Experience with ERP and PLM systems for BOM and change management. Confidence in producing technical documentation and training materials. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and CAD files (SolidWorks preferred). Bonus Points for: Background in RV, caravan, or automotive interior assembly. Knowledge of ISO 9001 or environmental compliance in manufacturing. Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
