About the Role As the Coordinator Engineering Planning , you’ll lead the strategic planning of critical infrastructure across Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Reporting to the Manager Engineering, your focus will be to ensure sustainable asset development that aligns with long-term financial and community goals. Key Responsibilities Develop strategic engineering plans for roads, drainage, and other assets Shape 15-year Long-Term Financial Plans for infrastructure Present planning and funding proposals to Council Oversee infrastructure grant applications, reporting, and acquittals Coordinate responses to development and subdivision applications About You You’re a civil engineer ready to step into a planning leadership role, with a desire to make a tangible community impact. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 1–2 years in a similar infrastructure role Experience leading small teams or projects (desirable) Knowledge of traffic, drainage, and asset planning Familiarity with local government or public sector (advantageous) Strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative mindset Ideal for someone looking to transition from private sector pace to a supportive, community-focused environment that still offers exciting technical challenges.
