Job Title Senior Mining Engineer Job Roster Initially Perth based role moving to a site based, 8&6 FIFO role towards the end of 2025 Job Summary Evaluate engineering related tasks that involves the selection, analysis, and improvement of techniques and procedures Job Statement The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Open Pit Senior Mining Engineer to join our Operational Readiness team at the Perth Corporate Office. Reporting to the General Manager - Development, you will be an integral part of the Operational Readiness team providing mining technical support and guidance during this planning phase. This role will transition to site and become part of the site open pit management team. Key Responsibilities: Key part of the operational readiness team involved with all aspects of Operational Readiness with a transition to site plan for commencement of operations. Assist in establishing mine technical services systems, processes, systems and standards, to deliver robust mine planning functions for the Genesis Open Pits. The systems established must include consultation with all technical service departments including geology and surveying. Own the 3 Month Rolling Schedule function and support budget and LOM planning. Reconcile actual performance to plan and incorporate learnings back into schedule assumptions. Ensure that mine infrastructure requirements are adequately accounted for in all mine schedules and that infrastructure projects are comprehensively scoped, specified, procured, resourced and installed as required. Liaise with the geology team and to ensure drill programs are adequately accounted for to manage resource risk. Liaise with production personnel to ensure production plans are executed effectively to optimise ore extraction. Mentor and provide technical leadership to Open Pit Mining Engineers. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field; postgraduate qualifications preferred. Unrestricted Quarry Manager’s Ticket is preferred but not essential Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining engineering roles, with a focus on mine planning and operations. Proven track record of successful project delivery in the mining industry, preferably in gold exploration and production. Strong technical proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Deswik) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders. Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainable mining practices.
