Project Electrical Engineer — Longford, Wellington Area

We are seeking a talented Electrical Project Engineer to join our offshore decommissioning project. In this role, you will: Assist in maintaining a robust work process between Engineering, Procurement, and Decommissioning. Manage activities from both cost and schedule perspectives during the Planning and Execution phases, ensuring all activities are appropriately closed out. Liaise with Operational Engineering teams during the Detailed Design phases to ensure execution excellence influences the design for the safest and most cost-efficient outcome. About You Tertiary Engineering qualification with demonstrated experience in Electrical disciplines or relevant industry experience 5-8 years exposure across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Plant or Heavy Industrial sectors. Developed skills in working with site-based engineering teams in developing project scope, planning and estimating and project delivery Key responsibility areas Ensure that project and maintenance planning incorporates HSE requirements for safe execution of work packs Work closely with client engineers and stakeholders for the estimating and planning of project works for execution on the offshore facilities through work pack delivery to the execution teams Work with UGL Leads and Supervisors to ensure project delivery outcomes are met, resources are managed, and spares and materials are available as required to populate the work packs Implement and manage project work packs in line with the execution plan. oversee the monitoring, reporting and controlling of all work packs required for the project Develop work pack budget estimations, monitor and control costs up to close out of work packs Liaise with the project schedule with the UGL scheduler, providing regular schedule updates on work pack progress & completion for the purpose of reporting What makes you right for UGL Genuine concern for safety Capacity to flourish in a high performing team An innovative mindset and a willingness to challenge the norm A belief that success and value are driven by real teams where everyone has a role to play About Us UGL Pty Limited is a leading provider of end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services.
