Senior Development Engineer Salary: $112,511.36 per annum Closing: Friday 30 May 2025 Full Time – Permanent Greater Shepparton City Council is offering an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced person to join our Engineering and Assets Department as a Senior Development Engineer. This role primarily comprises: Providing expert engineering advice on traffic, drainage (including modelling), car parking, and related matters for development approvals. Analysing, assessing, and approving submitted engineering documentation (drawings, specifications) to ensure compliance with Council standards. Overseeing the construction of approved private development works, ensuring adherence to Council standards and safe work practices. Liaising effectively with developers, consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities regarding Council requirements. Assisting the Coordinator Development Engineering with team objectives, budget input, and performance planning. Contributing to the development and review of infrastructure policies, procedures, and the Infrastructure Design Manual. Facilitating the handover process of new subdivisional infrastructure assets to the Assets Team. Strong technical engineering skills, excellent communication abilities to prepare reports and liaise with diverse stakeholders, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service will ensure your success in this role.
