We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to spearhead complex civil projects within our East Coast business unit. The successful candidate will bring 8-15 years of experience primarily within in the mineral resources and mining non-process infrastructure sectors , whilst also possessing a high level of expertise and technical experience along with the ability to provide strategic direction across a diverse portfolio of projects. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end design, development, and verification of civil engineering solutions, including detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and technical reports for mineral resources and mining non-process infrastructure. Focus on ensuring robust design solutions and verifying their integrity, while contributing to high-quality technical documentation. Manage complex stakeholder relationships, representing Wave International in high-level project meetings, site inspections, and industry forums. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes on time and within budget. Key Skills and Experience 8–15 years of civil engineering experience, with a strong background focused on mining or resources. Extensive, proven technical expertise in civil engineering design principles, including proficiency in design software and design verification processes specific to the resource sector. Proven ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation, such as detailed engineering reports and specifications, with meticulous attention to detail. Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing clients, contractors, and internal multi-disciplinary teams. Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards. Familiarity with Australian mining regulations and standards (e.g., QLD Coal Mining Safety and Health Act). RPEQ Certification advantageous but not mandatory.
