This role is an integral part of our Mining team and will be responsible for ensuring the mine plan is executed to plan and adjustments made as necessary to meet the objectives of the operation. Who you are Your Mining Engineering or equivalent degree together with your technical experience in Drill and Blast or Load and Haul in a large open cut autonomous mining environment is essential. You will have excellent communication skills with a proven ability to influence, involve and gain the cooperation and consensus of a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure short-term operational objectives are achieved. Advanced PC skills and computer literacy including experience Minestar, Command and global mine planning software packages as well as a proven history in delivering results to schedule and plan while demonstrating a proactive commitment to a safe working environment will be key to your success in the role. Duties will include Generating, implementing and reconciling the daily and weekly mine plan, identifying where variances occur and ensuring alignment with the monthly mine plan. Proactively promote the mine plan ensuring personnel within the planning team are able to discuss and provide feedback, areas of concern or bottlenecks, these are documented and mitigation steps implemented to manage these. Design and implement infrastructure, dump and stockpile, road maintenance, ramps and roads in accordance with LOM design, through field review and in conjunction with Mine Operations and drive compliance to site standards. Assist in continuing to develop and improve the planning process. Developing purposeful working relationships with key stakeholder groups across the operation. Demonstrate leadership through technical ability from practical experience and working knowledge. Communicate field performance and learnings to Mine Operations staff.
